So, why roast your own coffee? Why wouldn't you!? It is fun, easy, rewarding, --and did I mention economical? That's right: unroasted, green, coffee beans cost 1/2 the price of roasted beans and since you roast them yourself at home you can guarantee their freshness. Green beans also last for months (unlike roasted beans which spoil in just a few days). What does it take to get started? Less than you think. In fact, you probably have it at home already: a hot air popcorn popper:
